Almost every estimate starts with the same handful of questions, and most of them have a straight answer that does not depend on hiring us. Writing them down means you can decide whether you need work done at all before anyone turns up in a truck.
The three we hear most
- "How often does this actually need doing?" Less often than the internet says and more often than you would like, and the honest answer depends on sun, shade and how close you are to salt water. A surface in full afternoon sun and a shaded side yard are not on the same schedule.
- "Why has it gone white?" Usually efflorescence, which is mineral salt coming out of the paver itself rather than dirt sitting on top. It is the one problem that people most often try to pressure wash away, and pressure washing is exactly what will not fix it.
- "Can you just blast it?" On a driveway, often yes. On stucco, painted siding, screens or a roof, no — that is a soft wash, and the difference between the two is the difference between a clean house and a repair bill.
If your question is not answered below, call and ask. We would rather tell you that you do not need anything yet than sell you a job a year early.
